*Pssst! Can I tell you guys a secret? I've changed my blog, from now on it will be named; "The Silver Lining" I'll continue on making as many DIY posts as I can but you all probably know it takes quite a long time to write one or even come up with a idea. So I'm kinda asking for your help. As I can't always be creative enough to come up with all kinds of DIY-tutorials/posts I would like to know if anyone is curious about something. So if you have a question about anything, I'll try my hardest to find answers and give you my advise. So If you need help, just ask.*

So dearest piczo'ers. I know this isn't the usual update where I give you the ins and outs about job options. No in this post I'm going to talk to you all about keeping your skin healthy. (And I'm also trying not to be too conspicuous about entering in the Yves Rocher competition).
By the way the answer to the question is: "He fonded his company in 1958-1959."
My trick to maintaining a clear (matte) skin is to clean my skin every night before sleeping, with water though. It's very important to not use soap or any other kind of cleaning methode if there isn't any sign that says: For Daily use. Because of micells in soap a layer of skin and dirt is removed. It may give you that clean awesome feeling but it's harmful for your skin. This is because the sebaceous glands on the skin produce a more oily skin which causes break-outs. Ofcourse showering is important and there isn't a huge problem if you still keep washing your fase every evening or morning, just keep sure to hydrate with a nutricious cream and be sure to always remove your make-up, even when it seems it dissapeared during the day. And even though it seems your skin looks and feels bloody fantastic after giving them a good scrub it's rather unhealthy to do it every day, let alone every week. Once in two weeks is recommended.
Now, food is another important part of keeping you and your skin as healthy as possible. Though, Paoulo in the Princess diaries (if you can even remember the guy) told us the cucumber on the eyes thing wasn't helping, HE WAS LYING! I know for a fact he's lying. The Vitamine K in the cumcumber hydrates and awakes the skin aroung the eyes. It's even great for a scrub or other skin-treatments. Greasy food can greas up your skin even when you don't actually spill it on yourself. Eating veggies and fruits is the way to go (stay from drugs and stay in school!). No I mean it, some fruits can be quite tasty. Especially tomato's are amazing for the skin (they are pretty much the kings of all healthy things)
Because I'm such a Michelle Phan fan (=Youtube make-up and skincare guru...hehe -_-') I learned a easy and great way to boost up your skin. Just take a plate, take cotton pads or little sanitary face towels and make them wet in a mixture of water and cucumber mash (just blend it), wring them out a little and put them in the freezer for the next day.
I advise putting them on for just 5 minutes because personally I can't stand feeling the water going from nice and cold to warm (and nasty).
I found out it actually helps for me, though I always carry these huge bags under my eyes. They almost dissapear.
Ofcourse using a cream after that is the best way to prevent wrinkles. Even though I'm young I think it's better to prevent than to be mad at myself when I'm like thirty.
Make-up is also a important part of skin treatment. Because if you get pimples because of your make-up you'll have a serious case of :(

I advise using a water based foundation instead of a oil based because it can clog up the pores in seconds. No foundation at all is ofcourse the best.
Even though nobody usually thinks of it, your lashes need attention too, so don't be rash and pull them out (even on accident) because it takes at least 1,5 years to grow them back. Not putting on mascara when you stay at home or are just getting groceries is the best gift you can give the lashes.
So these where my tricks, or rather guide lines (hey! Even the best slip up from time to time)
Anyway, this was all I could think of in such a short notice,
I wish you all a healthy and amazing skin,
Rose :)

Well good day to all of you.
I'm planning to do a new post very soon. And I'm probably taking a interview in a few days/weeks/whatever. Anyway, the reason why I haven't posted today is because it's my birthday, therefor my scedule wasn't feeling kind enough to let me do a nother DIY post.
Hopefully this will clear up some questions or something,
I wish you all the best,
Rose

Modeling is more than having a pretty face.
Well that's a easy start. It's logical, isn't it?
There are different types of models and different types of modeling. You have the beauty (facial) picture model. The runway model. Models for art and you have the typical commercial model who you see in the catelogues.
But listen, this is important:
Runway-models: Obviously these girls are skinny to the extreme. Because the vison of true beauty changed drasticly 30 years ago we have to presume it won't change any time soon. The pictures of these girls and their flat stomaches can be very misleading, they usually are 5 foot 8 at the least and often seem anorexic. I absolutely do not encourage this path in modeling because many people will starve themselves to live up to this vision. But if you really want this I will tell you where you can sign up and how the process starts.
It usually starts the same way. You can look for a agency online, some agencies ask for sign-up money. Sometimes these people can trick you into paying for something and you will never see them again. I do advise to go looking for a agency who don't ask for money, make sure they are "the real deal" and always ask your parents before you make contact. Usually signing up goes online. They will ask your: height, weight, size, hair color, a few pictures, shoe-size, etc. This will go by email. You should be honest to yourself, are you sure you want to be judged on beauty? After you send your email they will pick some people who are model material and contact you for a test-shoot. I will advise to be honest about your real measurements. They obviously will find out. When they like what they see they will give you a contract to sign. Always be sure to read the whole thing and have a parent to acompany you especially when you're underage.
After that you get a real shoot and then there is a waiting game. Companies and clients will contact the agency and they will contact you. After your first few shoots there is a better chance you will do runway-modeling.
There is a bright side about modeling ofcourse. There is a chance you can travel across the world and do shoots and fashion shows all around the globe. Paris, Milan, Tokyo, LA. Ofcourse many won't get this far unfortunatly.
Ofcourse you don't have to be skinny to model. There are plenty of beauty-models who aren't as skinny as the runway-models. They are wanted for their face/facial expressions. You can make money by making your own photo's.
Hopefuly this was somehow helpfull,

Writing is a lot like painting or drawing, without ideas or inspiration you could make something nice but with them you could make something you might love. But unlike painting every story can be viewed different by anyone. When people go to a museum they mostly visit a famous painting from a much celebrated painter but you can love a painting made by someone nobody knows. When I think about it it isn't that different... Almost everybody could enjoy a good Harry Potter book. But still my favourite book is Love Letters by Katie Fforde and my sister hates it.
What I'm trying to say is; Your taste in books can be very different from your friends. But there's a reason most people like Harry Potter or any other famous book-series.
Though I truelly believe J.K. Rowling is a original writer and wrote the HP series for herself it's easy to see what makes these books so great.

1. Your hero is likeable good all-through, he might have some rough edges the reader will accept he is human and can make mistakes or has a will of his own.
2. There is somehow romance involved (especially for young adults) this doesn't have to be with the hero but it usually is.
3. The flow of the story and the language must be readable. This is very important. A good example is Stephenie Meyer (Twilight). Though her Bella isn't really a hero there is a character who is admireable. Meyer writes very poëtic and the story is therefore very readable.
4. There is DRAMA (using capitals is very dramatic indeed), your hero didn't have a "all sunshine, chocolate and butterflies" life. There comes a sudden turn in this characters' life. "THE TURNING POINT"
5. Most people enjoy a happy ending.
6. A tragedy. The "OH NO!" factor makes a story exciting and possibly very funny.
7. "Strangely" enough the parents are usually away or not very involved in their childerens life (There are ofcourse exceptions to this rule). Because if you just think for a moment... Would your mom or dad approve of all the adventures or dangers you undertake like the parents in the books would?
8. Imperfections. Would you honestly like a book if the characters led a perfect life with a perfect body and all? You should think about HP, almost everyone in the book is somewhat quorky. Think; glasses, crooked teeth, a strange obsession with all thing muggle-related.Thepeople who seem perfect are usually the people who you don't like in the series. (Remember, in Twilight the vamps have many imperfections)
9. Something unrealistic. It doesn't have to be sciencefiction to be unrealistic. Because, c'mon, what would be the chances that that cute boyband suddenly crashed their tour-bus and needed your help?
10. ETC. I'm sure you can think about other things I didn't come up with. There are always books where these rules won't apply. (Wuthering Heights)
Now, don't go thinking that you can write a best-seller right now. As easy as it sounds is as hard it is in reality. Ok, let's pretend you just started and you now have four pages (Times New Roman, 14). That isn't a story. You can't throw a information explosion to the reader in the first few pages. It's like meeting someone for the first time, you don't want to know about all the times they fell off a bike, how many beauty spots they have or how they wipe their bum (I hope you run if someone would tell you this on your very first meeting).
And believe me, after three days of intensive writing you've had enough. It takes the fun away if you're finished in a few days and then your story will probably twelve pages long. It's ok to make the outlines of your story. Just try to use many words to discribe something. (Try to use Oak instead of tree).
Don't even dream to stop if you haven't got at least 50000 words. The thinnest HP book is at least 70000 words.
So finally you've written your story, it's done, finito and you want to publish it. Well I've got a suprise for you! After you think you're done let someone else read it. Ask someone who isn't afraid to give a honest opinion (even if it hurts). Maybe they can point you to some mistakes because after raw-reading it you have to take all the spelling faults out of your story.
After another raw-read you can send it to a publisher.
Ofcourse you can do it the old fashion way, print the whole thing and give personally give it to a publishing-house. If you can't handle the tension like I certainly would, send it with the mail. BUT WAIT this isn't how most publishing-houses do things. If one piece of advice helped me it's this; look on the internet for a publishing-house which has many books in the same gerne as yours. On the site they almost always have a email-address. You just send your book and wait for a reply. They usually let know how long it takes before they get to your book, because you must realize THERE ARE TONS OF OTHER BOOKS AND AUTHORS WITH THE SAME DREAM. I really want you to remember this. They have to let millions of people down. You can usually check if a book is any good by reading the first chapter. So make sure it's good.
Now comes the depressing part, you'll probably get a reply that says they don't want your story. BUT HOLD HOPE. Even J.K. Rowling got rejected the first few times. Stephenie Meyer got rejected MANY times.
A rejection doesn't mean your story isn't any good. Be sure to send your story to many publish-houses.
P.S. If you're having a hard time writing or keeping writing BE SURE YOU CHECK NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month). It helped me a lot!
GOOD LUCK,
Rose
